So... at the end of 2016 I was travelling a lot. I SORN'd the VX and started accumulating the parts for a suspension refresh.
Then I bought a new exhaust mani as mine was cracked.
Then I had (more) back surgery.
After that, I bought HEL brake lines (top job, Robin), handed the car over to PSR and Paul set about fitting everything. Jonnyboy supplied the new (shotblasted and refinished, as well as new everything TRE's and bushes etc). Then the Nitrons and replacement ARB went on (Matt Bentley - Thank you).
PSR returned the car with a fresh MOT in December 2018. Full Geo was complete. Even the bonnet handle was replaced and works!
...
June '19 I got round to re insuring the car and taxing it. Took it out yesterday. Brilliant! First time I've driven her in 2 and a half years. Laughed my arse off. Still don't properly fit in it though...
Needless to say this has immediately summoned 40 days and nights of pissing rain (the car never goes out in the rain - that's what the shed is for), but I look forward to seeing you all at a meet soon. Once the weather improves.
Funny how 6 moths turns into two years, isn't it? Better late than never.
Cheerio
