Owner of Yellow Vx SC...passed away today  (the big C)

 

:Last time he used it was on this years Scottish Hoon..a hooner until the end

Very sad news... had the pleaure of his company this year, and a few other hoons previously. Pete clearly had some health issues, but he never made a fuss or let it hold him back. 

Hooner to the end, I hope I can follow his example when the time comes.

 Peter was a great guy and a real gentlemen. I was lucky enough to spend a little time with him again on this years hoon.

 

He will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting him. RIP Peter   :grouphug:

We (being a predominantly male group) need to be aware of prostate issues.  To the extent I recall my conversation with Peter, he was having repeated urinary tract infections.  NHS guidelines are that repeats under four weeks should be referred.  His occurred with a lesser frequency, hence the GP did not refer and the by the time he was correctly diagnosed, the cancer was advanced.  He was justifiably angry with the system.
