I am very reluctantly selling my 2004 VX220 Turbo. A change in personal circumstances means this will no longer a practical car for me. I have always had the use of a second car for commuting to work, running errands etc so I have managed to keep the mileage low. With a second baby on the way its just not a practical car for me anymore. It’s a genuine reason for sale and I will be very sorry to see it go after owning this for 10 years.

I bought the car in May 2009 and it has been very well looked after during my ownership. I am only the second owner on this car. As far as I know it has never been on a track and it has nver been involved in a crash. When I bought the car its mileage was 26,600 and current mileage is around 40,200. This will increase slightly as the car is still in occasional use. The car comes with MOT (expires 01/04/2020).

The car comes with both the hard top and the soft top.

The private registration will be removed from the car before any sale can take place. I am open to negotiation on this.

Over the years I have always kept this very well maintained regardless of cost. It has also had regular oil changes.

Soon after buying the car I had a trip to Courtenay Sport in Norfolk for a stage 2 upgrade. It had a set up on the dyno and produced 242.47 HP & 288.59 FT-LBS torque at the clutch. It has ALWAYS been run on high octain fuel, 97 minimum.
The Team Dynamic 1.2s were bough new in 2010 and are wrapped in Toyo Proxies T1R with between 4 – 5mm of tread to the markers. No damage on rims. Gaz Gold Pro coil overs fitted in place of the rusty Bilsteins. Brakes are standard disc/calliper set & Goodridge flexible lines. Most importantly it’s got the 4 Channel ABS unit fitted which makes a massive difference with the 16/17 inch wheel set up.

Seats have had repairs done to the boulsters.

Front clam has been refurbished as it was peppered with stone chips when I bought it. The bodywork is in very good condition for 15 years old. There are some minor marks (it still has some stone chips to the mirror backs) and there are the usual blister spots in the fibreglass.

It will come with an Alpine CD player, Alpine slim sub & Focal component speakers.

Between 2015 & 2019 the car was kept off the road due to working away from home and then relocating from Manchester to the Isle of Wight. The arrival of my first child kept it off the road for a little while longer until in the summer 2018 I started to prepare the car for returning to the road. Front & rear clams were removed and I completed any maintenence work that was required.

This included (but was not limited to):
•    Changing the left & right engine mounts for new as the old ones had split
•    Replacement of corroded brake lines
•    Clean up of wishbones
•    New brake pads
•    Oil change
•    Brake fluid change
•    Fuel filter change
•    Clean up of chassis earth points and all electrical connectors following an electrical fault (now fixed)

Since its MOT year I have covered around 400 miles with no faults.

Here’s a brief history of what I have done maintenance wise on the car over the 10 years of ownership (I have the receipts for most of these, oil & filter changes are not listed):

2009:
1 rear wheel bearing/hub (faulty ABS)
New Bosch alternator (old one was very noisy)
New rear toe links & track rod ends
New handbrake cable
Control arm ball joints
New clutch & slave cylinder

2010:
Front lower arm ball joint
O2 Sensors (both)
Wheel bearing (to fix ABS fault)

2015:
