TURBO TECHNICS LIMITED
Turn in, clip the apex and squeeze the throttle - dial in opposite lock and revel in a gloriously progressive power slide. Yes, the Turbo Technics blown Elise is staggeringly quick, but raw power is nothing without control. A brand new advanced design of supercharger, mated to either 1.8 or VVC K-series engine, delivers a deeply impressive 190 or 215 bhp respectively. The smooth, yet instant power delivery complements the Elise package like nothing else. Work that superb Lotus chassis and explore the limits of adhesion - in total control.
The Supercharged Elise is the culmination of over two years development and engineering by Turbo Technics. This in not a "bolt-on", but a thoroughly well engineered conversion, which will delight any Elise owner and demonstrate how to make an impressive car - even better.
Easy to live with, yet impossible to live without. One drive and you’ll be addicted!
MODEL RANGE
ELISE (1995- 2000)
Standard 1.8i:
TT190 Supersport - 190 bhp Supercharger system.
TT230 Supersport - 230 bhp Supercharger system.
111S
TT215 Supersport - 215 bhp Supercharger system.

TT260 Supersport - 260 bhp Supercharger system.
Aim for 180 bhp to realise a power to weight ratio of 250 bhp/tonne.
Avoid traditional head/cam tuning and it’s associated drawbacks for a more creative solution, worthy of the Elise design.
Maintain excellent driveability with instant throttle response to magnify driver enjoyment, with power oversteer upon command. Retain boot space and minimise additional weight in a compact, professionally engineered engine bay.
Incorporate in-house designed aluminium castings to aid service accessibility and durability. High mileage engine /transmission reliability is paramount.
Avoid specialist maintenance requirements and retain standard service intervals.
CONTROLLED POWER OVERSTEER BECOMES EASY WITH SUPERCHARGED ELISE
A brand new design of supercharger. Belt driven, but avoiding the traditional heavy power losses. Very lightweight and compact, installed within the existing space in front of the engine without compromising luggage space. Low in maintenance, requiring no specialist servicing, and lubricated by oil direct from the engine. Low maintenance Poly-vee drive belt, automatically adjusted via integral tensioner.
Low-blow boost pressure (9psi) is directed into a brand new cast aluminium inlet manifold. This houses an efficient, but very compact charge cooler to prevent increased engine bay temperature. A small reduction in engine compression ratio, achieved by shortened the connecting rods, is the only required engine modification.
Supplementary fuel, supplied via two injectors, is digitally controlled using an independent ECU and mapped for maximum power and reliability. No changes to the existing MEMS software, or anti-theft system, allows the standard Lotus fault finding procedure to be performed. The unmodified exhaust system and catalytic converter is retained, unless otherwise requested.
CAST ALUMINIUM INLET MANIFOLD
HIGHLY EFFICIENT BELT DRIVEN SUPERCHARGER - LIGHT AND COMPACT
As driveable around town as a standard car. No lumpy idle speed, hot or cold starting procedure or flat spots. Depress the throttle at any speed for an instant, yet creamy smooth, power surge all the way to the standard rev limiter. No lag or throttle delay, and with 190 supercharged bhp on tap, power oversteer becomes real fun. Predictable and progressive power delivery reveals safe and accessible ways to explore the limits of adhesion, and complements the terrific Elise chassis beautifully. Easy to live with, yet impossible to live without. One drive and you’ll be addicted!

It was Jonathan Palmer after stepping out of the TT260, having previously driven the Elise Sport 190 who said....I can't remember what they said about it now, I don't read EvoDidn't it scare the poo out of testers in an ETCOTY a while back?

"Now *THATS* a proper engine...makes the Sport190 feel a bit tame"
Or something like that

Bob... the blower in the Exige makes it just like an N/A engine. No lag at all.I like NAs in light cars. You can really use the throttle to steer with decent steering feedback, relatively low weight and a proportional throttle response IMO.
edited to say I've never driven a very light blown motor like an Exige though

It's a bit more than lightly blown - wringing 270bhp out of an block designed to deliver 110bhp ! (even 190bhp in it's highly tuned VHPD form)edited to say I've never driven a very light blown motor like an Exige though
As for throttle response, being supercharged rather than turbo charged, there's no lag, and the delivery is probably more linear than the std. car is. I have the torque curves somewhere.

The introduction of the VXT for a few thousand more than the 2.2 will have made their minds up for them. Especially when the cost to upgrade a 1 year old VX to a brand new VXT will be less than going down the supercharging route IMOI am afraid that we do not offer a supercharger conversion for the VX220, but at least there is now a faster turbocharged version available.
