Does anyone have a spare egr cheater that they would like to part with?

The Vx I bought has stood for some years and the cheater is failing.

Alternatively if anyone has the plug so I can put the egr back on that would work

If you can't find one, maybe consider supercharging the car with OBDtuner as it turns off the EGR. 🤪

Planning to SC and thinking of OBD tuner, but figure I should do it all in one go rather than installing OBD tuner on the NA then needing to change the base map?

At this stage I just want to get the car running right and through an mot.

Yeah fair enough. Although Peter (OBDtuner) guy has been happy to give you a controller with NA map, then send a sc map when your ready. Good luck with the hunt.

thats what I did - OBDTuner on the NA which brings some benefits (I had 2.4 manifold and couple of other bits) plus it takes the sting from the price. Im ready to SC now so Peter will simply send me a new map (you get free maps for a certain time iirc).

Sounds good, I have cams, valves, valve springs, rods and porting so it might make a bit of difference.

Just need an mot!

yeah defo - any interest in a 2.4 manifold as well Ryan? Im about to pull mine off for the SC install

It looks like OBD tuner is the way to go, would I be able to get it running sweetly without test driving (as it has no MOT or should I get another cheater for now and get it on the road then sort obd tuner?

If you PM me an address to post to I can send you the resistors and diodes to make a new one. I had to buy the components in quantities of hundreds, so I have in the region of 99 sets-worth left.
