Gents,

Living in France in Le Mans, close to the 24h race track, I own a 220 for bit more than a year now.

I mostly bought it for track days and I enjoy it a lot.

It is pretty close close to stock, I bought it with semi slick tyres fitted on 16" rims.
The previous owner replaced the exhaust for a nice sounding one :)

I installed driver harness and I just did holes in the seat to get the belt through it.

Going for winter work, I want to improve reliability (headlights not working well) and "water resistance" as the soft top is not doing his job properly.

I just went on this forum to try to find some parts. Basically I plan to build my own hard top but for this I need the laterals mounting bars of the soft top.
So I am looking for a soft top in bad shape so I can take those parts off.

If anyone have some ideas where to find this, it will be pretty helpful

Thanks gents

Welcome.

Are you sure your diy can beat the price/work of putting in the singleskin option?

I didn't aware about this single skin
Thanks a lot
Did any one already tried it?
I don't really get the difference between a normal and single skin one

The normal one includes all the fittings you intended to borrow from your softtop.
So your plan is stil valid to get creative on the mounting points. Just less work for you on the roof part.
