Hi all, just joined this forum as I’m looking to purchase a 220 Turbo.
I see prices vary quite a lot and was wondering if mileage, say 80,000 miles would be ok to purchase?
I realise that service history, HPI clear and condition is a must.
Any advice, pointers would be most appreciated, regards Pete.

As ever, it would depend on how it's been treated, driven, serviced, and what's been done to it ( upgrade wise)

Plenty of info and buyers guide stuff on here. Some of the most important things are obviously the proper servicing and maintenance, but also regular use. I would be more wary of a low mileage example now than a higher mileage car one that had been looked after.

Welcome to the club!! As above, condition is key rather than mileage - 80k is fine... I’m sure there aren’t that many out there below 60k anyway...

They tend to be lower mileage than normal cars as they're not dailys for most people. They are getting on a bit now too so the lower mileage cars are getting tucked away and harder to find.

80k isn't worrying for the Zlet engine though. Not at all

I wouldn't care about 80k miles.

General condition, a good service history and a bunch of receipts for work done are the main thing to look for.

A simple superficial knock can result in a cat write off even though the structure is sound. Bargains can be had if you get one with a documented repair.

Do your research and take a member with you if you can. There are specifics to look for. Chassis damage being the main one.
