I would hate to try and chase every rattle and vibration around the car. It's always going to be a losing battle with these kind of cars.
A slight deadening down of the noise, and reducing the overall 'tinnyness' feel, I'd personally be happy with.

I’m not too fussed about the extra warmth as it’s only used as a summer toy but would like the odd annoying rattles gone that are impossible to find! If it went some way to absorbing the noise then it would be worth it plus they look nice with carpet. I’m not too sure if the kit fits the turbo with the footrest so have asked the question on the parts forum.

Mine is a turbo with a foot rest. The carpet fits around the inside of the cabin fine, you will need a pair of sharp scissors to trim a few edges but otherwise fit is 95% there. In terms of the foot rest, all I did was fit the carpet, and the reduced space to fit caused by the thickness of the carpet meant its a very snug fit. My foot rest was velcro taped down to the floor, so I just ripped all that off and pushed the foot rest into the space with no fittings, it hasn't moved since, its such a snug fit. If you want more stability on it, you could tape/bolt it to bits of the car chassis but to be honest it sits in mine and doesn't move.

Also you can keep the original foot mats, just remove the foam backing from the front half and the circular bolts will go through and reach the holes in the chassis.
