Hud Head Up Display For Trackday Water Temperature

I've always struggled to keep an eye on my engine water temperature when on a track day as the digital display on the speedo is so small and my eyes are old.
Previously I've tried an OBD2 BT adapter and an app on my phone, which is ok but harder to find where to put my phone.
I thought I'd try a HUD as they aren't too expensive. It came today and I'm quite impressed and feel it should do the job. I just put it in my van to try it out and am pretty happy.

could fit it in one of the vents for a more normal looking dash

I would have liked one back then when i had an air bubble and destroyed my engine. That was a 5k lesson
The stack stops at 130. Then it starts flashing.
I monitor it now constantly, together with inlet temp and inlet presure)
(Water over 105, commence cooldown lap, inless pressure for M62 watch 0.8 bar or for harrop around 1 bar if it goes beyond could be cat collaps, inlet temp over 95 on my harrop means water pump broken)

if you are getting 105+ on track then you have an air lock in the system and you should investigate.

105 plus is on really hot days (35+) end of session.

Can you educate me, what's the relationship with inlet pressure and potential engine harm ?
I got that from hearsay only, that when cat collapses, backpressure becomes to big and could damage engine.
Not sure which engine part it could fail exactly.
I do know i am happy with my current monitoring system. Saved me a few times.

As Smiley says, when the cat collapses/melts is causes an exhaust restriction, what on the (fixed displacement) SC's causes a higher boost pressure than normal. (Sometimes you can hear an increased charger whine, but easier to monitor when the MAP pressure is logged/displayed. On a Harrop we saw >1.5bar pressure on track with a partially blocked exhaust...

at ledenon with a bit of altitude thats a fairly normal , run the heater fan for a few more degrees heat rejection and disconnect pipe to cabin

My heater is broken unfortunatelly.
Ledenon was absolutely rediculous end of afternoon. 3 laps in and back to 105.
Even the cellphone that does the monitoring just gave up at some point.
Went to the hotel early that day.
I also get it on Zandvoort, but really at end of 30 min session pushing hard.
