My issue is I actually like the old switches and want to keep it OEM.

LEDs and soldering iron then...

If it was me, I'd get the Type116 lights then, at your leisure, you can repair/refresh your OEM ones and keep them safe for when you sell, or when you decide to switch back - would take about 30 minutes max to do though it would be an idea to get a 2nd hand "cradle" for them as you need to cut the original for the 116 switches. (available on ebay as new old stock right now)

 

I think 2nd hand the Type 116 switches would sell for not much less than new.

 

My OEM swtiches were all working when I got the Type 116 one. I took them out, cleaned them, then put them in the box for the future knowing they worked.

That's my plan, all my own now work but I plan to remove and fit the 116 set

I’ve done the same, all my oem switches work but they are safely tucked away just in case.
