Hi all,

Recently picked up my VX220. A previous owner put on Team Dynamic wheels which is good and all, but the centre bore seems to be too small? I really had to take a hammer to get them off! I have seen lots of VX's run them, how do people get around that?

The difference in them fitting and being too tight must be ~1mm, could I just sand the inside down a little and repaint?

Cheers all,

It's probably just rust on the hub/spigot rather than the wheel, just need a clean up...

Cheers guys, I thought this at first but I couldn't seem any signs of corrosion, and the previous owner applied a copious amounts of grease. Silly me I never checked to see if there was a spigot ring.

if they werent right they wouldnt fit. likely painted at a time and the paint got in that area making it seem a bit small. Id sand back a little to make them fit easier but you want them as tight as possible

1mm is a big difference.  This is way beyond press fit and they wouldn't go on at all.  First thing I'd do is give them a damn good clean and see how they fit.  If they're still difficult measure them up.  They should be a close sliding fit.

I ordered a set of TD a red years ago. And I could t fit the fronts because of small center bore. I took them to a wheel specialist which lathed/machined the center bore to right diameter.
And they fit perfect. A misstake by TD, everyone misstakes from time to time.

(I got compensated by the seller)

I think some aftermarket wheel hubs were a larger diameter so this may be the source of the issue rather than the wheels.
