I’ve got to fit a new rad... and while I’m at it I’ll probably fit the chargecooler rad.
Simple question - any real world benefit of two fans?
Car is a weekend toy and does the occasional track day.

my understanding is two fans cause airflow to suffer, but are obviously more effective when they kick on.

I run two because I have a chargecooler but the fans arent on on track, only in the pits so Im kinda tempted to remove one next time Im in there and get the benefits on track

in saying that temps on track are solid even with 2 fans so maybe not that big a deal

I have one. Because I didnt want to reduce the airflow at speed.

it all depends on the power. for me, at 320hp everything is cooking, especially at low speeds, and two fans and a 55mm radiator have improved a lot. it is also important whether the oil exchanger is water-oil because it is also heavily burdened by the water coolers.

despite everything, despite two fans and a thicker radiator, recently on a slow track at 35 degrees outside after 30 minutes of driving I had 126 degrees water.
