I think if I had ordered 100 units they'd of been more interested in resending. Turns out I've been emailing a no reply email for that last month too😖

So short of just drilling a couple of holes in an area to mount, has anyone come up with an ingenious place to put theirs? Somewhere to hand but not in the way?

No drilling required, uses the seat bolts!
