So I ordered one of these to fit to my replacement gearbox before fitting. I got the pin out but the bush that goes on the end of the rod and inside the new shifter part fell apart when removing the old arm. Now I cant seem to source a replacement (one doesnt come in the kit). The only thing I can find for sale is a complete selector unit at like £400. And it only gets me back to a std shifter anyway.

Anyone have any ideas where I could get one? I might end up getting someone to make me one out of nylon or something (which might be an upgrade in itself)

Any help appreciated, or if someone miraculously had one that would be awesome.

Have you tried speaking to Courtenay? Have you asked on the Facebook page?

I haven't but it would be very easy for someone with access to a lathe or similar to turn down a block of Delrin or whatever to make something like these uprated ones from the States and engineer out most of the slop in the gearchange at the same time.

It's something I've had hanging around in my useful things to remember for years. It was American and was for retrofitting the F23 to some other car; I think it was a Fiero or something equally weird.

I seem to also remember a garage in Florida that was making the bushes and pretty sure they had a sketchy Youtube video showing the fitting and improvement in shift quality.

now we are talking!!!

I think I just need a piece of hollow tube 22mm OD 15mm ID (will double/triple check). The holes of the pin dont need to be precise so can just drill those myself as the pin works on the rod and the selector arm together. as long as the selector sits snug on the rod all should be good. Might refit with a bolt vs the dowel pin thing which is a PITA. Means if I dont like the shifter I can reverse it in situ without beating it with a lump hammer.

chat on whatsapp sure Chris, cheers dude!

You are all very old fashioned.

Nowadays you are suppose to 3D-print it!

Would you trust the tolerance and longevity of the material?

Ok i have made a few up. The fit is mega tight! Absolutely perfect.

2 are accounted for so there is just one left.

What material did you choose for the bush?
Was it a metal or a polymer?
