What EML issue was it?
I can't condone the following story -
Someone put a Bluetooth OBD2 dongle on their car, then sat in the MOT waiting room with her tablet running Torque and repeatedly pressed the 'Clear Codes' button while her car was in the bay.
Disgraceful, and not to be copied.

Which should have been a reasonably easy fix and a quick retest but then the ABS light came on while driving home.

It will probably be recinded once it becomes apparent that some vehicles lost their EGR valve in later production when industry ideas changed on emissions control, or employed different VVT strategies and the chances are the DVSA vehicle information wont have that noted in it between the same model of car.

Must have been really unlucky to fail on that, otherwise how are all of the supercharger owners getting away with it ?

Aka. Fit one with a single-hole blanking plate/gasket and attach the plug to some dummy wires. It's visually present and wired. MOT man happy.
They can't test it anyway
Bye, Arno.

I cannot even remember why we fit this EGR blanking plate but should removing it just for MOT be fine? I think now they know it failed on it they might scrutinise on a retest, do other MOT stations get to see what it failed on too?
