Was considering one of the folding garages to protect my VX after it comes back from a full respray (lives outdoors and normal covers cause more problems than they solve from my previous experiance)

Anyone using one at present they would reccomend ?

Really looking for one which is size appropriate to the VX as it will be sitting on my drive so dont really want to see a moosive tent all day :-)

I did a quick search and there were a couple of topics from back in 2013 but no doubt things have moved on since then...

I was going to say in the past I have used an outdoor Carcoon for one of my cars.  But it wasn't parked on the drive in full view of the road.  Was hidden away and they can be a faff, I only moved that car in and out of it every few weeks.  Was great over winter, kept it perfectly dry as sealed all around the car and kept the battery topped up too.

There was a company, I can't find their address now (maybe gone under, I shall keep looking) that did a garage that was on runners.  It could be pulled back from the car and then folded out, concertina like, to close it.  If wanted they could make it drive through, open at both ends, so could put it infront of a garage and go through it for access.  It wasn't a perfect seal down to the ground but would keep the elements off.  I looked at it but in the end worked out I could, just about, get a lift in my garage and went with that option.

Simon ange Maddock I think it is on Facebook has a structure on his drive akin to this type of thing if you want to contact him. There are some pics of it on there.

I used a Sealey garage over winter. Got a fair amount of condensation but it did keep the frost/snow off. Would not recommend though.

I had a cairoport in the sealy garage. The cairoport was ok but is only for internal use. The condensation formed within the Sealey and then dripped onto the cairoport where it pooled on the roof, far from ideal..

Good Evening.

Have you considered a storage facility?

Thanks for advice but realized that all options will block a lot of light from lounge window and I would not be popular if I did this so will think again - what I need is a rolling low garage on wheels 😁
