A glowing turbo and manifold can be perfectly normal, or it can be a problem.
If you've just driven the car very hard, then probably normal.

These cars wouldn't have the same airflow as a front engine car, so far less cooling ability in this area. Light cruise say 70mph, can create quite a bit of heat, as can full load operation.
More than likely it is quite normal, hence various heat shields.
Although it can also be an indication things may be lean, or maybe timing too low if things were glowing under very light low load operation, driving round town, idle etc.
