Hi all,

I recently skimmed the head on my Z20LET due to it being warped from overheating (not a VX220 and overheating issue now resolved).
I took the least I could off which ended up 0.25mm.

On other engines I’ve done this to the CR was fairly critical so thicker head gaskets were used. What’s the norm on Z20LETs? Should I be fitting a thicker HG to maintain CR or is it not that important on forced induction?
Engine is on standard internals.

Thanks, Andy

I don’t know regarding the zlet but that skim would equate to a 0.25 increase in the CR.
It may need a remap to remove a little timing or use a thicker head gasket.
