how about taking all the cats out. if its good enough for the sprint, would it be worth doing to get those extra horses?? and noises... cheers d

I'm not sure the sprint is cat-less. It's road legal so must meet emissions... Paul

mot-bolt it back in. friend who is a fabricator is gonna look at the zorst n maybe make the cat pipe in ss n see what happens-not sure if ecu will cope though? d

From experience of playing around with loads of Impreza STi exhaust combinations, you MIGHT get an overboost issue with a VXT if fully decatted, but unlikely, but may well get the CEL come on due to the main cat being removed. My approach will be to junk the pre cat and replace the main cat with a 200 cell sports cat, and fit a sports back box. This will get around both MOT (not that i'm worried about this :D ) and CEL issues.

Tube Torque are offering a cat pipe for £130 - definite difference in the power and allows the car to pop and bang even more :D Andy.

what's all this fuss?!? I have no more kat, CEL light is on but no problem.... I have the kat ready, pop it in for the mot, and out again. it's heeeavy! 4kg!!!! :D great overrun popping and major FLAMES on limiter-downshifts.... B) B) (so I was told by a tailgating exige...)
