I have just started a spreadsheet to record my mileage and aswell as MPG I would like to include Litres/100km. 14/5/03 0 0 0 0 0 New 15/5/03 24 153 244 28. 153 Running in. 17/5/03 19 119 191 28 272 Running in. 19/5/03 24 159 255 29 432 Running in. 20/5/03 21 135 216 29 567 Average pace 23/5/03 25 193 309 35 761 Average pace I lost the row and coloumn details but anyone tell me how to express the formulae in EXCEL speak?

If I read you correct, you know the milleage and of course your dividing this by the amount of fuel you put into the car to get mpg. After having mpg you want litres per 100km, Few ways of doing this but this is one, just paste this in a cell and off you go. 100 - km per you require B5 - cell you refer to for mpg (change this accordingly) 1.6 - miles to km conversion 4.55 - how many liters in a gallon =100/((B5*1.6)/4.55) if any values are wrong just change them as I haven't looked them up !!

And there was me thinking you meant Lotus Excel as in 70's 2+2 coupé from Hethel. :huh: Now that was a brilliantly conceived, but poorly executed one in Colin's long line of special motors.

One of the consultants at work has a Lotus Excel - his is one of the last of the production line and looks like it's been kept in a museum all it's life - he brought it to work to show me when he realised I've been driving round in a VX for the last two years (must get him to open his eyes more often).
