JimIs it easy to do on an NA? When should you change them? Are they expensive?

Yes, definetly. To do it over the bay is the more called the "Tim-Taylor-method"NA filter housing is slightly more accessible from the engine bay than the turbo, so it is possible without removing the wheeel and arch liner
But as Bob says, easy enough either way.
PS I think it is a 4th service or 40,000 mile service item... the service book will confirm. I replace mine annually though, easy job and less than £10 I think.

If you look under the car on the near side about level with the door handle you will find the jack up point, and yes both wheel's come up at the same time.do you jack up ay the side point? so one side lifts?

i dont know the precise fiure but I think pads should be replaced at about 70% wear.BTW, I was told i needed new pads at my service, but i said i would do them myself. Have recently uprated them myself to Mintex 1144 and the originals were no more than 50% gone!!!
fcuking dealers, is there anyone i can write to at vauxhall?
