spoiler and splitters still available until parts get bored of doing it I guess! follow the procedure in the posts above basicly give Michael lucas a call on 01912735211 and pay over phone by debit or credit card as to fitting, Is it not enough that i sort them that I need to come fit them  Seriously they are easy, put them up to the car, tape in to place, drill pilot hole, then larger hole for rivets, etc etc pm me if you need any more advice

How do these rivets work then? Presumably you push the pin in once it's in place and something comes out the back to hold it in place? If so, it should be a piece of cake.

?? Anyone?

Weather looks crap all weekend by the way :(

The way these rivets normally work is that you drill a hole the same size as the body of the rivet, push the rivet in fully (through the splitter in this case), push in the centre pin of the rivet so it's flush and neat with the rivet head and in so doing the body of the rivet is expanded to hold it in place. Bit like tightening a screw into a rawl plug. Still haven't checked for holes under the clam but I bet they are not there ! It's a weekend job if it ever stops raining. Graham.

Ah ok - got ya! As for the holes, having had the front clam off mine 2 or 3 times I can safely say mine has no holes.

Fitted the splitters today and they look OK. :D Had to run the front wheels onto a paving slab to be able to get the drill under the clam to drill it. The job only took a few minutes once I got myself organised HOWEVER !!!!!!!!!! the plastic rivets supplied will not do the job at all. :o  They do not expand enough to grip into the clam. I determined this before I started drilling holes. I settled for taping the splitters in position, drilling through the splitters and clam with 3.1mm drill and pop riveting them into place with aluminium rivets. They seem firm and look OK. Check out the plastic rivets before you start drilling the body. Graham.

Did you read my thread about rivets? I was a numpty and didn't realise you had to use a rivet gun. Went out and bought one and they fit nice and tight now...

No, I used aluminium pop rivets, I couldn't see any way the supplied plastic rivets were going to do the job. Graham.

Difference in handling? Not really, no. My car is quite low though and has some height differential from front to back so it's always been pretty solid at speed. The question of whether there is more front end grip at very high speeds is not one I really want to put to the test (not on the road anyway). Having said that, I took a fast (70mph?) bend at North Weald a little quickly on Sunday and and ended up in a monster tailslide. Some may argue there was more front end grip, but I blame my lack of skill and nerves.
