Piper cams will reprofile BOTH your z2.2se camshafts for £193 + vat or £226.78 :groupjump:

Postage is extra of course

They are not offering exchange cams, so you will need to remove yours and send them to Piper cams in Ashford, Kent. LINK

Part number is VX22BP270, they are 260 degree and Piper claim 10 bhp increase on a standard engine.

Mine are getting reprofiled in mid Feb :D

AmD use Piper for their stage 2 NA conversion so they work pretty well. Careful putting them back in you need the Vauxhall alignment tool to get it right (although you can do it by creating a profile block out of wood) thumbsup

I had the head off for porting and fitting +1mm valves, so played it safe and replaced the cam timing chain. I recommend removing the lower timing cover if just doing the cams as the chain very easily jumps a tooth, it did when I was setting up the timing, luckily I was triple checking the marks and noticed (I had cable tied the chain to the cam sprockets but it jumped a tooth on the lower crank sprocket - in the USA this has happened a lot, that's my excuse for checking everything so many times :D )

Finished off putting the z22se back together, left out the spark plugs and removed the fuel pump relay to build up the oil pressure, then started first time :D It has a slightly lumpy tickover and a rather loud 'rasp' from the exhaust, initial 'slow' test drive confirms everything appears ok, going to bed the engine in, but the induction roar has gone and the engine pulls well :groupjump: Can't wait for the remap and using the full power :D

An update on the Piper Cams. They are 266 degree not 260 btw thumbsup Running sweet, but they do give a lumpy tickover  No engine management light :D Engine pulls strong all the way to the limiter :D Recommend these cams if you want more power :tt:

Man, I can´t wait to get that sweet, lumpy, tickover!! My VX pulls sweetly now, with the WeaponR, but later this summer I may take the clam off to fit those cams as well. Or next winter..
