i have one and untill all 900 deg of rotation are unleashed its difficult to say. It is certainly a solid grippy wheel. Far better than the 'lotus' one i had before!! but first impressions are great! thumbsup thumbsup

It is fantastic with GT4 Prologue in 900° mode.

It is soooo good that I can't be arsed playing any of the games that don't support 900° – they are so artificial in comparison.

Only thing missing are the G forces on you.

Definite must-have product if you are into driving games thumbsup

Hmmm.... rubs chin....

What about developing a seat with servo-assistance so it heels over?!

If you have a "garage collection" to rival the ones you get in GT4, then fine... :D

But the advantage of GT4 is that your GT40, Zonda, McLaren F1, Range Rover, Ginetta, Jensen Interceptor, TVR, Nissan Skyline, 350Z or Micra, '67 Mustang, Lancia Integrale, Toyota Prius(!)*, 1897 Benz (! :P) or any of the other 700+** cars can be driven flat out in direct competition with others without risk to:

wallet – in the form of fuel/tyres/brakes, etc. or speeding fines
driving licence
life and limb

And they don't call it the real driving simulator for nothing... I can't wait to get at the full version and do the Nürburgring thumbsup

* It's actually quite good fun in GT4 Prologue running in a pack of these or Lupo GTIs – helps you to learn to drive more neatly.

** >this list< is nearly a year old but still pretty mouthwatering thumbsup

It is soooo good that I can't be arsed playing any of the games that don't support 900° – they are so artificial in comparison.

I've got a regular Driving Force and am pondering getting the Pro version for GT4. A couple of thoughts:

- Surely a lot of race cars don't have more than 270 degrees of movement, what sort of racing requires 900 degrees? Where/how do you notice the difference?

- Any one reckon it will fit on my >racestation< gaming seat thing? It was design for the Driving Force and i reckon that if Logitech now sell the lap attachment seperately that it will fit both wheels and there for the new wheel will fit on my seat? Anyone owned both and can confirm that the footprint is the same?

Cheers,

Ben

My racestation is ace, all good solid metal frame, conduits for wiring and a proper race-seat. I think it's ace but the company who made it (Sala Gaming) are no longer trading :(. I think i read that they folded owing loads of money to people. A shame, i've yet to see a race seat that is as good.

Actually, this bloke has found >loads of different ones<!

I don't like the fact that these driving stations have the upright between your legs. Made myself one for the Driving Force wheel. Ratpants, it is not quite the same as the Driving Force Pro but should probably fit a Racestation. I had to adjust my home-made one quite a lot as the pedal box is different too. Mine is set up as a copy of my Speedster's footwell, complete with pedals and footrest.

Now I have the Driving Force Pro wheel with the gear change, my next project – when I summon up the courage – is to relocate this to the correct Speedster position. I also intend to fit a (non-functioning) clutch pedal, as I feel that left foot braking is too easy without the clutch pedal there. All the dimensions (seat height/ wheel to pedal distance/height, etc., etc. are 1:+ as the real thing. Third project is to complete the sill/A-post area 1:1 where my left knee rests in the real car – just need to find the time  :D
