if your at Plans this Saturday - there are some interesting cooling mods that can be done. Lookout for the red VXR.
I'm intrigued!

Your latter comments do show a degree of thought.
Perhaps if your original comments were a little tounge and cheek then a few well placed smilies would aid the readers in interpreting them. Just a thought.

It just appears a bit rude to say "Chav" when you do not know what efforts have gone into Geoff's project. If you knew the man and spoke to him without the sly comments you would learn so much.
Dave "nuff said eh?"

Your post made out that it was some magical heat removal remedy, and therefore, as far as I'm concerned, were just as useful as my original post.

nail on the head - More air thru the IC, means a cooler chargeAnything that helps airflow through the intercooler

How do you know that there is more air going through...
If these vents are in a high pressure area, compared to that where the inlet for the intercooler is, then you may not get more airflow.
It will probably help loads, but until it's tested properly, it's just a cosmetic mod.

I would just buy a shower cap, as I like you was worried about heat soak.A while ago I had steam coming from the top of the engine, nothing serious the garage said it was a known problem due to rain getting in and then boiling off when the engine gets hot.
They have got a plastic rain guard in to stop this happening, but since then I have had the AMD Stage 2 - so I am concerned about heat build up.
Before I phone the garage to get it fitted:
Will the rain guard affect the cooling at all? - anyone know if it is easy to remove in the summer?

You seem to be spoiling for a row in something you know little about - if its good enought for colin blower with 30 years of racing, its good enough for usBut that's my point.

oh just to add, the back of the car is a low pressure area - hence the reason for lift and need for a wing
