This was hard work. Did a lot of laps around 8.15. Then suddenly I managed to find 3 seconds in the downhill section towards Wehrsheifen and built on it from there.

I got a 8'20.188 in a standard VX220 N/A! I can beat that time though as i made a few mistakes!

I see that allof guys do it in the arcade mode, time trial. You have to do it in the Simulation, GT mode. World circuits. It is much different. Anyway, here's my first attempt. I uso no traction control and chabge gears manually. I banked out 3 times almost spinned in the mid section. Actually, I never like this course, too bumpy. 8'30''.117. I'll capture a picture once I get a proper camera because tho one on my cell is no good. Anyway, try the simulation mode. You'll be suprised.

Er... no!

The whole point is that, in arcade mode, you can't have "hidden mods" to falsify the result.

That is why we agreed that. for the standard N/A and VXT, we will drive in "arcade" mod (and using the default SM tyre setting). Any screenshot should also show that the time was done in the arcade mode. Fair and seen to be fair

For the "tuned" category, you do it in GT mode and can use an N/A or VXT with any mods you like.

Apples and Oranges, but I find it interesting to see you guys are throwing your virtual VXs around the 'Ring faster than I ever managed to send my snorting and snarling virtual Lotus 49 around the same track (in Grand Prix Legends).

This thread has been pretty quiet over the summer.

Had another go with GT4 this weekend, but couldn't im prove on my N/A 'Ring time. Think Jase_MK said in another thread that if you make one big mistake, you've wasted 8 minutes. I reckon I always make three or four smallish mistakes – not necessarily the same ones each time. Just not got the skill to do it all perfectly – probably why I'm not a racing driver!

I vote we declare toeride the current champ – unless anyone else thinks they can beat him. For anyone new,

please note the correct settings:

Stock VXes: ARCADE MODE, TIME TRIAL, NO AIDS, SM TYRES

TUNED VXes: GT MODE and whatever tuning/settings you want.


Anyway, dudewheresmycar suggested a similar Elise 111R thread for variety and Jase asked for a shorter circuit. Not been able to face the 'Ring again in the 111R, so I thought I'd try something else.

I think the Tsukuba circuit is good one as it only takes just over a minute. Same rules as above for the 'Ring. IIRC, I did get down around 1'05 when I first tried this out, but this is my best from yesterday. I want to see if toeride can beat the minute in an N/A – surely not?

The rivalry continues here are my time for Tsukuba STOCK VX N/A 1. 1'06.236 Dudewheresmycar 2. 1'06.508 speedyK STOCK VX T 1. 1'06.197 TUNED VX 1. 0'50.902 Pics below this should be a interesting to see how fast both the VX NA VXT can go around this track IMHO I dont think either car will do sub 1 min laps but it will be worth a try!!
