Just so you know this film is a non clear coated film therefore WILL absorb road grime and tar rubber residue is the guy you are talking about P1 international?

Also this film was fitted by their admission to 997 rear wheel impact areas, here is a picture of what happens to that film after 4 weeks on a 997 porsche, we could of course sell this film as could Bob but we will not touch a non clear coated product in Western Europe (see paint protection film 101) due to the problems you can see here.

Tom,

Could you clarify what problems P1 have experienced with the film on their 997?

Are the pictures you attached of their car?

Ian.

HI I didn,t say P1 had encountered any problems with their cars as I understand they have yet to decide on a supplier so I don't know where that came from? and do not have any film fitted from the 3 suppliers that they considered, ourselves, Bob and Venture.

The 997 Pictures were representative of customers we have seen and were photographed by one of our installers and the film sent to us for inspection.

We have seen other examples of this problem and I understand that Porsche Germany are seeking another supplier of this film. The problems are common with non clear coated films in areas like western Europe and are a result of substances getting into the pores of the protective layer (most likely candidate being tar rubber compound)

So can I come check out your film on the car ? :D

Best Wishes

Tom

It came from your post on the 18th April

this film was fitted by their admission to 997 rear wheel impact areas

Are you withdrawing your original statement then?

HI Ian

I think you have misread my replies, I believed I said that P1 did not fit these, I also said we had seen these on customer cars (inference: our customers)

I have inserted in your extract from my post a modification that should clear this up for you, although I did believe it to be self evident, however I apologise for any confusion that may have crept in.

Therefore there is nothing to retract
Cheers

Tom
