They were my thoughts.At a guess i dont think it will work as the car need the lead. Super only has a higher octane rating, nothing else.

Cheers Keith.Nevertheless, I would use 4* for as long as you you can get it then Optimax with an additive - surely you don't do many miles.
If it is an 'old' engine it will need an unleaded head conversion which is expensive.

Certain garages have been given licences to sell the stuff. Not many, about a dozen or so in the country.I thought 4-star was illegal now?? At £1.20 it should be!

Sorry it can't have been the 280 as it had a tickford badge near the lower clock , great car for drifting.Whiteboy - do you mean the Tickford Capri (the one with the bodykit) or the 280 (standard body, Brooklands green)? Both were available with the TT conversion. Wild cars!
