now, consider the speedy has a 205mmx170x150 and 11kg battery,
cold cr. 380A and 45 Ah x hr. capacity....
Top 15 seems the most adequate....at 5,1 kg and 400A cranking....
doubts:
is "A6 male" terminal the right one?
what is the "14Ah" indicated?
whould that be too low compared to the stock 45Ah? (...if comparing same specs...)
any battery expert here?

Yeah, some Elises use bike batteries, and infact, some 340R owners use 2 VERY small bike batteries so they dont have to remove the bodywork to slide the battery in.tx Brian,
ever heard of lizzies using big-bikes batteries?
today I was by battery-shop (run by an enthusiast, big diff!!), and he told me he successfully provided a Lancia Stratos with a Honda Gold Wing battery, (Yuasa) and it runs fine.... the cranking amps is down to 270 A from the 380 of stock VX....wondering if it would work for the 2.2.... sure enough the weight is there, 6 kg!
Have you ordered one yet?

60's MG's used two small 6V batteries in series between the rear wheels - good for centre of gravity and weight distribution, but not so good for access. Additional connection between the two is also one more thing to go wrong - I speak from experience.paralleling two smaller batteries.....
Securely locating two small batteries could be an issue in the Speedster - I would make sure that the battery shop can offer you a convincing solution as batteries rattling around is definitely not a good idea.
