I thought i'd post mine and thorney's best times.... timing is up to 1 quarter of a mile..... Mine (na) Reaction - 1.594 60 ft - 2.045 300 ft - 5.935 1/8 ET - 9.206 MPH - 75.89 1/4 ET - 14.401 MPH - 92.29 Thorney's (turbo) Reaction - 1.396 60 ft - 2.192 300ft - 6.122 1/8 ET - 9.271 1/8 MPH - 78.96 1/4 ET - 14.212 MPH - 97.57 If i've got my sums right that means i did 0-60 in ~ 7.27 secs and thorney's was ~ 7.04 secs. This is also taking into account that both of us wheelspun at the start, reaction time, probablly not optimal gear changing and it was a blistering hot day. (sunburnt you know ) Edit - Thinking more about those times i gather this is all dependent on how linear the acceleration was from 0-60. Those calculations are based on a non linear 0-75.89 mph in 9.271. It's all getting too complicated for me. :beat: :beat: :beat: :jump: :drink: :jump:

Hi Ive got an s1 elise 1.8 (vx220 turbo on order) and when I took it to melbourne Dragway near york my 1/4 mile times were always at 14.4 with terminal speed of 96mph. Reaction is usually 0.79 ish. Ive found best way of setting off was the second you see the second amber light release the clutch and nail it. By the time you see the 2nd light and the message gets to your foot its green. Thats my 2 cents worth anyway. BTCC vs vx was funny. Was that a 2.2?

Hi, I gather you're the chap who posted on the lotus BBS :) Yep the VX that beat the BTCC Car was indeed only a 2.2. It's minime's car. I'm told though that these cars a quite highly geared which is why it didn't appear that fast? I'm sure I could have got my times down if I didn't wheelspin and reacted quicker. Also I don't think I changed gears at the most optimal points. Oh well It was only for a laff anyway.
