just enjoyed the first 24 hrs of my cs2 / vse fitting and how!!!! :D had the cs2 upgrade and vse (tks jkay!) fitted on friday at courtenay and am overwhelmed at the difference its made :gayfight: not only does the car now sound exactly like it ought to but the engine feels much more fre revving and tourque'y than it previously did. it's most noticeable in 2nd/3rd accelerating hard. where before the pick up would be a little slow between 2k and 3k it now pulls much harder and doesn't run out of puff until nearly 5.9k, where previously it was starting to die around 5.2k. the power delivery is much more linear and very progressive in all gears and (i think) the redline appears to have increased by around 400rpm? could just be me though. two examples of where i've really noticed the difference: i) in third at 50 leptons sitting behind a truck. nailed the throttle to overtake and before i knew it i was past and didn't have to each for fourth until back on the right side of the road ii) in fourth on a dual carriageway at about 80 leptons. nailed it again and was flying into three figures (before obvously slowing back down to 70 leptons) very, very quickly. In summary I guess the car feels much more useable than ever, right across the rev range. Don't get me wrong - i've always loved the na for the bucketfuls of low down torque it delivers but these mods just make the world of difference. A word of thanks also to mark and john at courtenays for the superb job they've done and also for not charging me for the full 4 (yes count them!) hours it took to chisel my stock exhaust off!! Would recommend these guys any day of the week and will definitely be back (once i've saved enough £££) for the miltek and further mods. Great job well done!! Imnotworthy right then, i'm off out for a thwack... :groupjump:
