Just bought a VX with a mere 500 miles on the clock (nice of someone to run it in for me). Just got to wipe the smile off my face now :groupjump: It's got the sports exhaust fitted but not had anything done to it other than that. Reading some of the links here it looks like I could do lots to improve things on the airflow side but I'm not sure where to start. How do you remove the pre-cat? Is it easy to do so? If not, who & how much to do so? Is it worth it? New air filter's a no brainer. Again who & how much?

Have a look in the tuning section, lots of discussion about pre cat removal, most people agree it is beneficial. Any one know if this is possible on a turbo? Chris

 Get that Pre-cat out !! Should have been on the OPTIONS list, do you want your car quick and breathing properly or would you like an asthmatic VX when we stuff it full of crap :groupjump:

Yep, can endorse most of that, Pre-cat removal is essential (its time-consuming and takes some experience) but well worth it. For free power on the inlet side remove the restrictor in the airbox. Go in through the n/s rear wheelarch, open the airbox and take out the air horn (it just clips in). I have done four pre-cats now (including my own). It takes three to four hours. If your anywhere within driving distance of Falmouth drop me a massage. cheers. El Griffo
