220 should certainly be possible with NA if you are willing to spend enough money. I think Steve has the most power at the moment (185???) It will take internal work to go an further. Steve, are you still looking at extending the stroke to go up to about 2.4l? Paul

i did 14.4 for the 1/4 mile but could do a lot better as i was changing up at very close to the rev limit! 6600-6700! will be a santa pod this coming sunday and hope that will the new shifter plus changing up sooner/launching at 4500rpm i am hoping to get the car closer to 14.....would like to get it to 13.8....but we shall see! i shall be testing various types of change/launching! best bhp/lbft test that was done on my car was 186/175.....but the car now feels smoother and stronger since having the itg induction kit fitted! me thinks rickys car must be very good at this too! on another note.....it has been suggested that the installation of a feul regulator and pushing the pressure up on it will also help to make car stronger.... i think someone on the website has had this done as chris from regal reckons he has driven a car with this addition! :ban: :groupjump: :groupjump: :ban: ps i have my next court case on the 16th....... 54 in a 30......bad bad boy! did it the week after i got caught the first time....both times i had a mate of mine in the car.....i wont let him in car now!

Would be great to get under the 14 so you didn`t launch at hig revs? you`ll see this will make a biiig difference cause our devil is veery fast from a standing start at my runs i killed once a NSX and a E36 M3( 286HP+ Schnitzer Tuning) the NSX caught me in second  but the M3 hardly in third.. :saw: Yes the fuel regulator will make a big difference, the more air you have (induction kit, dbilas inlet mani etc) the more fuel you need please minie could you post a list of ypur mods? would be very kind Imnotworthy thanks Greets Michi PS: last week they caught me the first time with my speedy around 80 in 70 they builded up a small mobile radar box :D

I know that there has been some talk about a supercharger for the 2.2. It has been suggested that this mod alone could take you close to the 220bhp mark. I agree that the 2.2 is underpowered. Round the twisties it's addictive but just plain uninspiring on acceleration. And it’s simply boring above 80mph. I’m saving the pennies for a supercharger (should kick the arse out of the turbo). :D

Supercharger is nice.... but before i get a supercharger i buy a VXT and tune it a bit then there is no supercharger which can follow him you see a stock vxt is maybe slower than a SC 2.2 but.. there´s no problem to tear some HPs out of the turbo tje SC is with 220 at his limit ( or near to it) but a VXT is with 200HP at his beginning! In my eyes: if you want a damn fast VX theres no alternative to the Turbo you see there are VAG 1.8Ts driving around with + - 400HP(this is really at the limit) but 300 HP is reachable without bigger problems... sothere won`t be big problems to push the 2.0 to such levels the only 2 reasons(in my eyes)existing why to tune the N/A are: the thrill of a high performance N/A engine(high revs etc.) and that it´s a bit lighter than the turbo f.e.: a very exciting(but also very expensive) car is the KOMO-TEC Elli MK2 with CTR Japan-Spec Engine, has got 220 HP(and there is potential for more) and makes a 1.15.1 in Hockenheim f.e.: an exige does 1.14.8 a stock MK2: 1.18.9 and stock VXT does 1.17.1( not sure) PS: safe-speed hmm since i don´t live in UK i think it isn´t very interesting for me to join is it? I heard the supercharger would cost about £2k. The Turbo is £7k more than the 2.2. :D

Some here, I'm waiting for the supercharger, the thought of another £7-10,000 when I can get almost as much fun for a lot less is quiet appeling.
