recently i have been testing my new setup...i now have dbilas software along with theirs high lift cams and ported head. not sure as to the power of the new system but i have booked into g-force for an rr session... using a road angel gps system i have achieved the following 3rd.....95@7000 4th....132@7000 havent been able to test 5th as the stretch of track i was using wasnt long enough... ;) i have checked these results with a rpm speed calculator and these results were confirmed by it. incidently the calcutor did suggest that if i can get to 7000 rpm in 5th the resultant speed would be around 156!! not bad for an na ;) ps i have recently increased the downforce at the rear and the car feels a lot better...seems the front splitter i have does produce a lot of downforce ( which thorney did say it would to the point that the car feels as if it is pivoting at the front...for me this has now gone!)

If you removed the wing would the vmax go up? (serious question - would be interesting to see what the straight line difference would be) edited to add - I know the twisty bits are more fun - just call it curiosity!

i think the vmax would go up but i think the car would be a little twitchy ;) i might try it out sometime! all i know is the car feels as if it is attached to ground :)

How did you get over the rev limiter? (On mine i think this cuts in at about 6500) Is it a new ECU, or can the existing one be reprogrammed? - Gordon

This is probably a stupid question and forgive me if i'm making a false assumption here but....

Isn't the top speed in each gear only affected by max revs?

...Whereas, additional power might speed up the time taken to arrive at vmax in each gear...

yep more power does affect the time taken to get to these speeds.....i shall sort out some timings for these ( cant rememeber what i have done with my ap22 gizmo...) i will say that it appears that i do have around 180lbft of torque( hoping to confirm this later this week)

sounds B) , 180lbft means 190+bhp thumbsup thumbsup thumbsup

surely the cams'll make the best difference to the power/vmax over standard, as moving the rev range higher thus more speed for higher revs especially with your higher rev limit (mine only 6500 :( ) be good to see the results...

when do you think that you reach peak power? is it over 6000rpm???? i take it your cams are quite aggressive compared to mine :D

be good to see the results of your rr thumbsup
