Ok, I've got a Regal sports exhaust :D and I'm now looking for what to do next. Software + induction kit seem favourite and probably pre-cat removal. I've read that HiQ in Milton Keynes do the pre-cat...I've checked AutoRoute and it says 8 Watling Street, Bletchley...is this the right place? If I get the Regal chip is it worth doing the pre-cat removal first or won't the software mind that the engine characteristics will be changing? One last question...should I get some uprated plugs before doing all this?

Hi tja, I've got the same set of mods you are planning (without the plugs). If you are going to the rolling road day on the second I'll be there. We're near each other anyway aren't we? If you wanted to see/hear the mods before you buy. I did my precat removal myself yesterday. For the ammount of time (5 hours) it took me and a mate plus the amount of cuts on my hands I'd pay the £160 for someone else to do it I think. Regarding the plugs, I'd say advisable but not essential. I'll be getting some iridium plugs soon when I can find a cheap supplier.

What happens if you use the pound - as in American pound - (hash) symbol?

I wasn't, but I think I will now. It will be interesting to see what extra you get from the mods compared to mine with just the exhaust.

Let me know when you plan to drive up, I'll tag along if you know the way :)

Yeah will do, you had better check with Thorney that there are still places left. Last time I heard there were still a couple available. Should be a good day with BBQ, price is only about £35 which is pretty good for a RR.

What part of Reading are you based? Take the M40? Or the M4-A34? I think M40 is probably the easiest despite the fact it's motorway :(

Actually looking at map going straight through Henley and Thame looks more interesting. Depend on what time we start and how early I get up I suppose. ;)

If I was going to Bicester from here (v. near Reading central station) I would take the A4074 to Oxford, onto the A34 around the west of Oxford and on to Bicester. (or leave Reading on the A4, on to the A404 to High Wycombe and up the other side of the motorway, but that way goes through a lot of built-up areas :(). Or...I drive out to you, then A321 to Henley, A4130 towards Wallingford at which point it meets up with the A4074 from my first suggestion.
