Going to fit sports exhaust next week. The originals nuts&bolts are badly corroded - want to make changing an easier process - so should I use Brass or Stainless - seem to think Brass is the right choice ?? thanks Mick (if demand I will take pictures.....)

You won't be able to get brass bolts, and in any case they are too soft and would snap like a carrot. Stainless bolts with brass or copper nuts might be a good compromise, but stainless are not high tensile steel and will also snap quite easily. Ordinary high tensile mild steel bolts with brass or copper nuts may be the way to go. Ultimately your solution will be dictated by what is actually available if you don't want to spend hours trawling through the stock of a specialist fastener supplier - you may have no choice but OEM ones. Whatever you choose will eventually be difficult to get apart again!

I chose to use one small soldering point (besides the bolts, not too tightened) on the exhaust connection...easy to remove in a second with an orbital tool if needed, will keep everything tight in place..... did that after the clamp used to connect the curve to the backbox kept getting loose, letting the backbox move around a bit and rattling against the bodyshell.
