today the racing battery was also delivered....
as you can see in the picture, supervisor aside, there is a dent on the front left side.....
I immediately took it to a battery shop and it tested fine, but there is a chemical smell coming off the crushed plastic casing.....
so I WILL request a replacement....will let you know how serious and customer-friendly MDS company is.....

here is a close-up of the dent....
have to say, shipping a 5kg-battery inside a PLASTIC BUBBLED ENVELOPE does not sound very smart, at least in my books....

so far MDS sounded very professional...that's their answer to my mail:
I am very sorry this has happened. I have sent another battery today.
I have also asked UPS to investigate the damage and they will contact you to collect the damaged battery from you. Please could you have it ready for collection and it must be in the original packaging in which it arrived.
Please accept our apologies,
Henry Mitchell.
I installed the battery today, and it cranked the car beautifully....
5,1 kg vs. 11,1 stock!

update:
"MDS battery LTD" proved to be a serious dealer in my case, shipping promptly a replacement battery, delivered today, this time in flawless condition....and packed in a sturdy box along with ample fillers, and not the flimsy plastic envelope anymore...
UPS came and got the damaged unit back yesterday.
all in all, a pretty satisfactory service.
