I'm dismantling my car at the moment, and with the clams and interior removed, I've realised how much wiring there is running through the car. A lot of it is redundant in my car now (alarm, airbag, stereo/speakers/aerial, fog lights, heater/fan, seat belt tensioners) so I was thinking of removing as much of it as possible. Are there any wiring diagrams available for the VX or Elise? Presumably the non-engine related harnesses are similar to the Elise? I'd like to locate any harness connectors and decide which ones can be safely unplugged (if any). Failing that I'll get my pliers out and start cutting wires until the lights stop working :D

AFAIK there's a seperate TIS CD with all the electrics on, diagrams, connection details etc. I been looking for a copy for a while now but its appears to be at the end of a rainbow somewhere  If anybody has this CD I would really really appreciate an early Christmas present :) as I am sure would Gary.

Yep, up until now it was. After some major surgery over the winter, it might be a track-only/competition car. Would be good to have the option to take it back on the road occassionally though... I miss having to swerve round all the potholes in Edinburgh :D

chinky chinky If it does exist, that sounds ideal.

I keep a Win 98 machine for just such purposes. If I can have a copy I'll happily burn a few spares for others.

Kind regards - Ian

Hi, I have a 4 CD version of TIS2005 - it includes the wiring diagrams, but only for VX220/Speedster 2003->2005 (and it runs on any version of Windows - I run it under XP SP2) I guess, I could be persuaded to do a few copies ;) (but live in Germany...) Otherwise do a forum search for "Tis Discs" or have a look at eBay thumbsup

Can anyone tell me which relay deals with the headlamp flash? And while you are at it, any idea why my N/S dipped beam would become erratic?
