There is one screw on the end of the door that release the leather triangle bit of trim. Under that there is a further screw to be undone. The window winder has 5 screws (1 hidden under the center) Then the whole thing is held on by various plastic rivet type things. Be very careful and dont break the foam door trim, it will damage very easily. There probably is a guide on the tis cd in the FAQ. Dave

Hi, I did the same job myself the other week, there is a guide on how to remove the panel on this site some where. It was V good. I beleive you can take off either the silver panel on its own (after removing window winder ) This way means you can break this silver panel if u are not careful. Or you can remove the whole panel. Follow the guide if you find it as it is V good. If you do find the guide words of caution. When removing the triangular panel off the door there are 3 x clips holding it to the door, one of mine broke on the panel itself be v careful. once the 4 x screws are off window winder theres one screw in the middle if you cannot get it off put a couple of screws back in with window winder, the middle of the handle will come out (You'll see) it gives a bit more leverage. The small silver cover over the door handle is a illegitemate child, When you take off the full panel there are 2 x small screws & clips holding the small cover on, be careful you do not lose them. You have not said why you want the panel off, ? window adjustment, if so look under that heading for a link. I could be wrong but on the link in mentions about adjusting a stupid round looking nut up to get the window up, but this describes the passenger door. On my drivers door it was down for up. Biggest problem was putting full panel back on. I could not for the life of me work out how to put the 2 x black screws back into door handle silver cover plate without taking larger silver panel half way thumbsup off. The top half of the silver panel was velco on mine. It is doable and good luck but one word of advice. Patience.

rant  :9mm: :beat:   :beat: :9mm: Adjusting the window thumbsup Trying to get the f**kin doorcard back on thumbsdown Just spent 2 hours trying to get the bloody thing on before giving in! How the hell do you manage it?? Does the silver door handle guard screw in first and the door card slip over it?(cracked it trying to remove it in the first instance). Or is there some special technique? And when you've managed that, what is it that stops the bottom of the door card from sitting flush? I've removed the 6 clips and replaced them with velcro, trimmed away the corners of the door card around the silver guard, but its still not happening!

Yeah thanks for that, thats the thing I was orginally using but I'm still having problems! Does the middle leather part (the small flat bit in the middle of the door card) have to come off first (as in stormtroopers pic)? Can't get it off, the bloody clips are solid and any force seems to crack the foam! Any ideas??

These should have been the steps to take - 1 remove leather triangle part 2 unclip main foam panel (but do not remove) 3 force out the two plastic screws that hold the door handle guard in place 4 leave the door handle guard in place and rotate the main foam panel around the door handle guard 5 twist off the door handle guard 6 then remove the door card from the main foam panel ( i used a pair of cutters and clipped the black plastic clips off) When i put it back together i first put the main foam panel back onto the car door then followed by the door handle guard then last of all replaced the door card back onto the panel.

These should have been the steps to take -

1 remove leather triangle part
2 unclip main foam panel (but do not remove)
3 force out the two plastic screws that hold the door handle guard in place
4 leave the door handle guard in place and rotate the main foam panel
around the door handle guard
5 twist off the door handle guard
6 then remove the door card from the main foam panel ( i used a pair of
cutters and clipped the black plastic clips off)

When i put it back together i first put the main foam panel back onto
the car door then followed by the door handle guard then last of all
replaced the door card back onto the panel.

Cheers, I finally managed to remove the door card using the same method. I kind of figured this would have to be removed as its bloody difficult otherwise. And I get to go through all this fun again in a couple of weeks when I get my replacement handle guard

Cheers anyway thumbsup thumbsup
