As on the other thread i said i would find out what i could get on the spax coilover kit if we were to group buy. Currently the Cheapest is £450 a set. Im still waiting for another company, who i think will be cheaper. Will update tomorrow. Jay

How many are you looking to buy? It just happens that my neighbour is the sales guy at spax, and they used my car for the turbo kit. Let me know how many sets are wanted and i will see what deal he can do.

There's been a few threads about them recently. Personally I've found the standard ones to be much too soft. Spax are apparently a marked improvement over standard and are, of course, adjustable so you get the best of both road and track. Build quality isn't so hot though. Nitrons and of course Ohlins are much better, as are Leda's which are still being developed, see Thorney for that, but from a budget perspective, Spax are the cheapest bang for your buck.

I'm interested. How many do you need for the group buy to be viable?

Ive always said that, Billys are far better in my eyes... except the VX has only used the bilstien shocks the springs are Koni's IIRC  ..hence the soft[ish] ride..

Dunno why Vauxhall used Koni for the springs, surely Bilstien could have do the full package :(

If Bilstien did a 'proper' set for the VX id but them tomorrow thumbsup

I havn't driven a VX with Spax fitted, so i can't comment, but every other car i have been in with them fitted i didn't like :(

Chuno you'will have to convert me thumbsup
