i bought an EOS 1Ds yesterday - a bit expensive, but it is bloody amazing.
so i washed and leathered then headed off for a blast to a quarry near my house.
just upped the contrast a little in photoshop - the rabiata has come out way better than on my D60.
hope you like...

Without wishing to big you up too much, they are the best pictures I have seen of the VX. Brilliant.
Have to say that neither standard red is perfect for the VX but in your pictures Rab is looking good. In real life I reckon it is too dull.

thanks for the compliments fellas.
gonna bring it with me, along with the panoramic camera, to bruntingthorpe - fancy doing to 3/4 on, low (as a passenger) tracking shots - as long as we have the time and space - max road blur, sharp car, kinda thing....

Fantastic quality pictures Skiddo. Beautiful colour temperature too - did you mess around with the histogram levels?

I think the 1DS combined with the 1V HS speed and you have the complete camera.
