...and thats why its expensive. The level of development thats gone into this system (and its proven power gains) is significant.it's not like there's a huge distance from the engine to rear bumper is it

A Tubi for a fezza is usually about £3kYou can probably get a flippin' Tubi exhaust for a Ferrari for the same sorta price as a Milltek

Same applies for other mid engine'd cars though. I've got an MR2 turbo which obviously has a similar exhaust setup to a VX and none of the exhausts are anywhere near the price of a Milltek, not even the crazy expensive Jap ones like Nur Specs....and thats why its expensive. The level of development thats gone into this system (and its proven power gains) is significant.it's not like there's a huge distance from the engine to rear bumper is it
Sure the Milltek might be good, but then again so is a Nur Spec (and Mongoose if you want to include it)

http://cgi.ebay.co.u...1QQcmdZViewItemA quick surf later I found the full VXT blueflame for £905...But it's also double or even treble the price of the Blueflame so I'd like to see the relative differences in performance/noise etc.
>clicky<
So not as cheap as you might think then?
^^^^
£395

· This full cat back mirror polished system in 63mm is arguably the finest available for the VAUXHALL VX 220 TURBO.
· The usual retail on this system is £435.00
· All the brackets are provided in the kit to give your VX a serious style and sound upgrade, with a great power and torque increase.
· If you are successful we can fit the system for £50.00

So that's £695 fully fitted so about half the price of the Milltek yeah?

wasnt your car the blueflame development car?i have had a blueflame system on the VXR for 2 weeks now - sounds great, overtook a work colleague at full chat and he thought his windows were going to shatter
The turbo def spools up faster, you can really hear it spinning. I dont think you can beat it for 700 quid

Will get some pics later
excuse my bad memory, but that seems like ages ago....if so why have you only had it on two weeks?

Good memory!! It is.wasnt your car the blueflame development car?
excuse my bad memory, but that seems like ages ago....if so why have you only had it on two weeks?

They have had my car twice to design a new system on my car and then fit/tweek it, its based on the new Astra GSi system they made last year. Comprises of new smoother precat pipe, 100 cell cat, backbox, 70mm pipework. Took along time as its a 300 mile round trip for me, and, these things... well, just take ages!

The new one isnt available yet - the old system on ebay certainly looks a good deal though

Is it not worth keeping the standard exhaust and just getting the downpipe that replaces the precat? The std exhaust can't be that bad... can it?

Not a complete thread derailment but does anyone know the make of this exhaust?
