Dont know where to start. Inside of the door on the otherside of the mirrors is a rectangle(ish) shaped cover. I always thought it was held together but screws, but it's actually held in but plastic rivets? Do i need to take this cover off? Any ideas? Thanx :D

My post about half way down the page < click here > Should give enough clues to remove the mirrors.

The black triangular cover is held in place by twoplastic rivets. Easiest way to remove these it to punch out the centre pin and pull the outer part... but doing this will result in the plastic pins falling into the door recess. There is a good chance you will drop a couple of the mirror bolts in here too (unless you've got a magnetic allen/socket set) so be prepared to have to remove some of the door panel to retrieve them anyway thumbsup

My bolts fell into the door  be very careful if you have to take the door panel off....it snaps very easily as I found out  dave

I did this at the weekend, they are the biggest pita WHEN (not IF!!) the bolts fall in to the door, i actually got my hand stuck squeezed underneath the handle trying to get it out, for half an hour! I would advise a bit of tape (half stuck to the srewdriver/allan key, half on the head of the screw) to hold the screw in place while it gets a hold in the thread of the mirror. thumbsup

I understand there are 3 bolts holding the mirror, one is hidden behind the triangle cover and the other 2 behind black round tape near the edge of the door where the seals meet?
