Looking at the cooling system exploded diagrams on TIS, it would appear that the auxiliary pump's only role is to pump hot water to the front of the car and through the heater matrix. The pump is to the left of the no. 10 on the diagram.
I've removed the heater from my car, and rather than bridge the gap (hoses 15 & 16 on the diag) in the front compartment, I was thinking of connecting the pump outlet to feed water straight back into the block (hose 9 on the diag) and bypass the heater piping.
Just wanted to double check I wasn't missing anything daft here, like the pump also feeding water through the turbo (I've checked that and it appears to be connected through the main radiator hoses).

I already removed this matrix heater.
After thinking to the pb, I had decided to keep electric auxiliary pump and I had connected its deliver pipe to the return of heater matrix at level of cylinder head.
Reason of this choice : Keep engine internal water circulation and avoid hot spot in the cylinder head after engine swich off.
Result of this modif :
* Engine warm up quicker and 2,87 kg saved ...
* No heat during winter, but it is not a pb on a car which deliver enough adrenalin to avoid to keep heating system ...

Thanks Chris
It might also remove 0.5 litre of coolant from bypassing the heater supply and return hoses. It all helps
