Hi,

I've read on here in the past that if you are in a non fault accident, it could be better to use a non-fault 3rd party claims company.

Does anyone have any experience with any? what are your recommendations.

I've been in an accident this morning and it clearly was not my fault, it was caught on the office camera's and a dash cam from the car behind.

Thanks

Just following up on this, I discussed the claim with a 3rd party claim handler and was willing to go ahead as you don't need to lose your excess or NCD while the claim is being settled. Then I was contacted by the other persons insurer, he had accepted liability and when I told Admiral (his insurer) that I was considering using a 3rd party they offered me £350 as a goodwill gesture to use them instead.

Also got offered more cash if I was willing to forego a courtesy car.

Been offered £750 so far before the claim has even started. No wonder our insurance premiums are so high!

They're so high because of the corruption within the industry, insurers pushing false claims, sky high repair costs, sky high rental cars, and all paid to subsidiaries of the main insurance companies, to basically extort money from the paying public.

My premiums have come down considerably on the four cars that I have insured separately this year. Cheapest they've been for some years.

The biggest issue that you missed out @Stevieturbo is the sheer volume of bogus claims and crash scams with people staging accidents for profit, and to win bogus claims for whiplash etc. Then add on to that the fact that we all end up paying for the tw@ts who have accidents when uninsured etc.
