I wrote a bit about it on the link in my first post..... but its quite easy. The hardest part is putting the arch liner back on aligned!!! Take wheel off Take out arch liner Undo and unclip throttle connection Undo the 2 bolts that hold the airbox onto the mounts - 1 x at the bottom near the wheel arch/ 1 x at the bottom under the expansion tank next to the engine. Unclip the clips surrounding the airbox Take out the top part of the airbox Take out the bottom part of the airbox thumbsup

Sounds just a tiny bit less raspy than on mine (std exhaust, pre cat and K&N), but good to hear a comparison thumbsup

I had a K&N on my Elise at one point - I know what you mean. I think the K&N sounds a little too much like induction roar - this mod ludicrously makes the noise sound more like an exhaust - except of course when your tootling around/lifting off. Except the pre cat mod has made it sound more burbly on over run ;) BTW - its hard to emulate the sound by recording it digitally. As you can expect it sounds differently in the flesh.

Hi Chris, watching your drilled standard intake, i decided to do the same with mine the other day. I removed it from the inside, not taking out the wheel. But i went further and made a much bigger holes on the intake box. Now it sounds like a vacum cleaner, :D The same as yours but louder. It is nice since i can still have the original filter but sound/noise is much better. Also, notice that you english people have the intake in the passenger side, but in the speedster, you have it exaclty on your head, so the "communication" between the intake and the driver is "nicer". :P
