Hey guys,
Another minor problem my NA's started exhibiting recently is a weird whining/whistling noise from the back right of the car, whenever the engine is running. It alters in pitch with engine revs (not vehicle speed).
It's audible in the cabin, and also you can hear it from outside the car from around the back right wheel area. It almost sounds like something sucking in air, but it's from the wrong side of the car for the air filter, and I've checked the exhaust and it seems secure.
It doesn't appear to be the fuel pump as I can hear the fuel pump when I switch the ignition on but before I start the car, and it's still making the usual wurgle-wurgle noise.
Any ideas?

my new VX does this but its got an intake pipe cable tied to the intake vent for the induction kit, I thought it was just the sound of the air going into the pipe???
has yours got an induction pipe there?
