Hello peeps! Well how do I put this. I'm New, I'm looking for a nice VX na, I'm tall. My question is are vx220 friendly to tall people - ie can we fit in them. Strange question I know & no doubt I probably could (managed to fit in a friends elise before) but whe you 6'6" tall some cars do become a no-no. I just wondered if you could resaure me before I go off hunting for the perfect vx & find I'll never fit. Also I've read the buyers guide with was very informative & useful. I'm just wondering if there are any other bits n' pieces I should be keeping a careful eye out for? Thanks in advance Regards Chris <ps if you know anyone who wants a nice MK2 MR2 Turbo - let me know ;)>

i am 6 ft 2 and have no probs, dont even have the seat fully back either, will be snug for you but you'll fit easily, seems to be plenty of head room too with soft top.

im only 5'9 and the way i sit with the seat right back i still dont have the best view, i think you should consider something else to be honest, if i were 6 inches taller i think my head would rip through thr roof! where u based maybe a kind owner will let u sit in his..

Sounds familiar - Thanks for the reply.

I need nos. Thanks for the reply - I got similar replies before getting a MR2 Turbo - Taller people can fit and shorter ones wonder how.

I think the one way I'm only really going to find out is by trying a few out.

Thanks all the same tho!!

Chris

One point to remember, there is less room with a hardtop fitted than with a softtop

One of my mates is 6ft7in and he really struggles to get into the passenger side with the soft top on, and can't get in with the HT on. No way he would be able to get in the drivers side with any roof on. thumbsdown Still i suppose it depends a lot on how supple you are. Good luck. :P

I am 6foot, have plenty of head room and seat no where near fully back, I have short legs though and still plenty of height. a mate is 6 foot 2 but has long legs and he struggles getting in and out. would be best to try a car if you can find some one local or just hassle your local VX dealer.

I'm 6'4" and the only problem I have is getting in and out but all my friends have the same problem and most are shorter that me. It all depends on if you are long in the body or legs.

In and out might be OK, but you may find gearstick, left knee, steering wheel all vying for the same spot...

6'2" and loads of room really thumbsup Don't just think it depends on your height. It also depends on your shape (if you know what i mean) Whether your height is mainl because of your legs or because of your top half - and how supple you are, and probably your build.

There's a local meet next Tuesday thumbsup (Called the Windsor meet but it's only near Windsor - See UK Meets & Events section) Failing that I'm not too far. (btw I'm 6 2" and have no problems with hardtop thumbsup )

6'3" You quickly get used to getting in and out. Once your settled its pretty comfy. I did a twelve hour stint from London when I first picked mine up and I could still walk at the end of it thumbsup

6'4" and no real problems. I wouldn't want to be any taller though. I guess 6'5" might be ok, but at 6'6" I doubt you'll fit in, and if you do you won't want to be in the car for that long :(

Well I thought as I'm off shift today & I couldn't be bother to do my "jobs" for the day I've just taken a trip over to the local Vauxhall Dealer who had one in. Well I do fit - Quite nicley actually - Left knee + 5th is a little close until you move your foot to the left of the clutch. As for getting in and out - no problems there. Head room - I've got a inch or 2 (soft top). Ideally I would want to slide the seat forward a little & recline the seat back a little more - dont know if there is a mod you can to to accomidate such a fitting? Damn it I fit. No I've just gotta sell the MR2 & find £6K to fund getting one. Cheers Chris <MR2 Turbo for sale>
