As the post says. We are currently looking for a N/A VX220 to develop a performance exhaust system on. We know that Milltek are popular here so i will try not to tread on anyones toes. The nice guy that offers us there car for the week will of course leave us with a system fitted to the car FREE OF CHARGE :) If anyone would like to take advantage of this offer then please call me on 01233 500200. This is a first come first serve basis so please be quick. Kind Regards Garry Exhaust Sales

Piper, thanks for your pm, but you didn't exactly give me much chance to respond did you? VX must be getting popular, all these commercial posts ;)

I hope you will agree to be supportive to us all and the site through any sales leads you generate - I'm getting fed up with commercial posts where people are profiting ftom us here, I won't tolerate it again and will simply delete any post in future.

This place aint free to run, if any tuner wants to use it for generating sales then they can pay for the right - like everyone else.

Can't help thinking a bit of over-reaction here. (Asbestos suit on..) The post by chiptuninguk the other day was out of order. That was a blatant shot at free advertising - offering something for sale, giving contact numbers etc... IMHO this thread from Piper is not the same thing, just serves to give a member a free system and make everybody aware of (valuable) development that's going on. I can't see any sales pitches here as they haven't even got a product to sell yet. As far as I can see, the more options Joe Public has for buying accessories the lower prices will be because of the competition - something we all want, and something we have been fighting for in Britain for many years (that's how I managed to into my dealership and haggle £xx off the price of a new VXT - wouldn't have happened a few years ago). Any development for the VX and VXT is very welcome, and I feel better in the knowledge that tuners/specialists are taking the car seriously enough to go and invest time and money in development. With all that in mind, I view the post as informative rather than as a sales pitch. (Asbestos Suit off .. it was getting a bit hot in there) Piper (Garry) - any plans for the VX turbo ?

Wooo, chill John..... Piper sell thru AMD and PVD(+others), not direct to us.... So surely we are being made aware of a product that these guys will be offering in the coming months?? If B4DVX had asked would that of made it OK? He was also offering a opportunity to someone to help with their development. They are unlikely to buy a VX for a weeks' development. This is still making more products available to us. I understand what you are saying - servers/marketing/stickers dont grow on trees and the sponsors (AMD/PVD/Crownhill etc) must see a return on the advertising costs and not feel as though others get it for free (regal?) - a hard balance i am sure. I still think we should offer a FOC and a payment membership. Things like bruntingthorpe/Hethal trackdays, discounts etc should be a privelege, not a right. This will encourage the club, its sponsors, interested parties and its members more IMO

Fair enough I'm having a bad day, but the point is serious. My primary aim is to make sure we ALL get a good deal out of this place and yes chiptuning did put my back up but I wanted to make it clear that using and abusing here as a method of making profit without at least making the effort to put something back I think is unfair. I'd rather keep it free for everyone and make sure other companies who benefit pay (out of their revenue this site generates for them) as it keeps it free for members - sadly this means sometimes it pisses me off when someone wants something for free. Appreciate maybe I was a bit OTT on Piper but I'd also appriciate a bit fof back up from the members. :(

Mate, i backed you 100% in my second paragraph - not much in this life is free. Different opinion on membership, but only you know the costs/revenues. ;)

Hi John, Please don't take my remarks as an attack on you or the site. I'm a Newbie, so probably my remarks are still worth sh*t but couldn't help but be worried if posts such as this are deleted before I (and others) have had an opportunity to take it in. If this had just been deleted then I wouldn't have known about development effort that was being put in - and it does genuinely make me happier knowing that this is happening. I can only imagine how difficult it must be having to deal with sponsors - keeping their best interests in mind as they are a source of revenue which benefits all members, but in turn stopping the site becoming more than just a store-front for them. Rather you than me. They only request I would make is that you could try to get some 'Icons' added to the site for words like fu*k, sh*t and so on. I can imaging the sh*t one (even down to the facial expression) - but the fu*k one would be the daddy.. there are just so many different ways to approach that problem

 Your opinion is as valid as the next persons and I agree that information such as this should shared for the benefit of all. However you are also right in that it is a difficult balance to make and one which I frequently get wrong. It is very hard to be supportive of our sponsors (who enable this place to stay alive) and still allow others to come in with a free rein, something has to give and I will err on supporting those who want to support us and not the others. I agree with the emoticon bit, I'll add it to the list

I have said it before and I'll say it again, we should support the people that support us, so I'm 100% with what you say John, not OTT at all. If anyone wants to promote anthing on this site then they should respect you and wait for approval before putting up the post. rant

lo folks, nice site btw... well, i was thinking, you got that Advertising link along the top bar... so why not just have a marketplace sort of thing, all welcome for fixed fee etc... and a separate forum section for advertisers to well advertise... just an idea (don't shoot me!) ... and of course any muppets trying to take advantage in the main forums would have their post deleted, and an email sent back saying "sorry, you want to post = you must give some money"... :saw:
