I thinking of getting a Nintendo Wii..... What do people reckon. I like the fact that you can play all the GameCube games on it...

The only thing that puts me off is those pesky mario brothers! All the games appear to be babyish compared to the likes of the XB360. I'm still swayed to getting an XB360 after xmas over the Wii.

Plus Xbox live is supposed to be good fun, you only have to read the Test Drive unlimited thread and it makes me want one :-)

Yep, get a wii as soon as you can mate. we've got some here and the response from the nunchucks are great. A true advance in the stagnating pool of games around nowadays. Take a look at some videos of the new mario and zelda.

Im gunna get one and give it a go At £179 its competatively priced. Nintendos aim isnt high end graphics games but user interaction and fun ie the child like games and interesting controls. Also the only system to get Zelda on has to be worth buying! :D

Wii does sound like it is worth it for the fun factor. Will probably get one for the cool motion sensor stuff. I see Wii as an additional console to XBox360 / PS3*. *Sony seem to have fouled up a bit from US reports (have to go online for an update before you can even start to use it! , etc., etc.). Maybe it will be sorted by the time it gets to Europe...

That's exactly what Nintendo want, they've said it a few times in interviews now too. People have started using the term Wii60 (360 + Wii), and I think I might end up buying one. There will be some really fun games as you would expect from Nintendo, even though the 360 will be where I play most of my games. Another thing, I think the machine itself looks pretty damn hot

I really fancy one. Not really an option until I've finished saving for the VX though. :( I could try and convince everyone to get me Game vouchers towards a Wii for chrimbo I suppose. Still rather have a few more pennies towards the VX mind you.

I'm keen to try that funky controller too! I prefer playability over graphics so it might be just what I'm looking for. What's it's networking capabilities like?
